Smart Homes aspiring young estate agent, 22 year old Joshua Field, has recently been presented with a new 1 Series BMW company car, in recognition of his outstanding achievements for the business over the past 12 months.

A delighted Joshua said, “The last year has been a very exciting time for me”.  He added “I have found myself expanding my knowledge within the property industry with great help and assistance from all of my experienced team members”.

Mr. Jamie Smart, Director of award winning estate agents, Smart Homes said  “Joshua has now worked for Smart Homes for 18 months and is developing into an engrained member of the team.  He is proving to be instrumental in many of the sales, by recognising opportunities to cross sell and sharing the Smart Homes ethos of excellent customer service”.

Due to Joshua’s supreme efforts, the sales targets were reached in a record two and a half months, well ahead of the targeted four to five months.  All the hard work and effort that he put in was well rewarded when he took delivery of the BMW.  Joshua said “I am over the moon –  this is the icing on the cake!”.

Joshua left St Augustine’s School in Redditch after gaining his “A” Levels and immediately joined Persimmon Homes as a member of the sales team.  After six months he became a sales negotiator on the new build sales.  After eighteen months Joshua decided to further his training by joining an estate agent in Redditch where he gained level “2” in The Technical Award in Sales of Residential Property.  After joining Smart Homes he continued to study for his professional qualifications and will be taking his level “3” A.B.B.E. exam in a couple of months time.  This has involved setting up various case studies and producing a portfolio of his work, plus of course, lots of studying at home.

When Joshua was asked what he enjoyed about his work he replied “It is different, it is versatile, I enjoy the multiple roles – seeing the many styles of projects and I think, most of all, I get a great sense of achievement out of helping people find the right property and of course then selling their property.  I find I get on well with people, an essential qualification if one is working in sales, because at the end of the day, people buy people.  I am ambitious.  I plan to go as far as I can and hopefully, one day, become a partner in my own estate agency business.  My  time at Smart Homes has been very enjoyable and has played a key part in my estate agent career, allowing me to progress rapidly and learn new segments of the business such as valuations and market appraisals”.
